Hughes and cry

Ah good, debate on the new rules sought to be introduced in the one day game is picking up some steam.
After the cautiously welcoming initial comments in various sections of the media, Simon Hughes in the Telegraph finally opens the account for the nay-sayers.
'If one-day cricket is sport on a calculator, Test cricket is sport on a canvas', Hughes says, while arguing his case that the new regulations will further complicate the short version of the game, and in fact enhance the appeal of Test cricket.
Comment, anyone?

  • Hey, Prem, neat work on the blog, could do with some more work, though. And how come you merely link to Hughes' comment, without any comment of your own? Come on, since when did you become shy of sticking your neck, and your opinions, out? :-)
