Switching channels

Pakistan's turn, now, to moot the launch of a dedicated TV channel; the BCCI, you recall, had made similar noises earlier.
Theoretically, it's a good thing, for a cricket board to have its own TV channel -- for starters, you can almost guarantee more exposure for domestic cricket, which will in turn help bring the focus on up and coming players, and tangentially improve performances.
My fear is though that the Board already has megalomaniac tendencies and a penchant for being dictatorial -- a TV channel of its own will end up further tightening its monopoly on cricket, and such monopolies, if not run by an enlightened administration, can do more harm than good.
