Spoke too soon

'Spoke too soon' is becoming the most often used headline here, actually :-) In Sabina Park, the wheels coming off the Pak cart -- from 5/267, when Afridi imploded, it is now 295/9, with Inzy battling on at one end while his mates come and go at the other.
265 runs ahead, no prospect of adding significantly to that lead -- on balance, I'd think this game was Pak's to lose, and the side is doing a damn good job of throwing it, gift-wrapped, Windies' way. A lead of 325-350, and Pak should have felt good about its chances, but I suspect the 280-ish lead, give or take, that they might end up with is a touch too little to pull off a series-squaring win.
Back to cricket watching for now... all the blogging I normally do, will follow later in my evening...

  • I think if Pak is getting the opening stand quickly and putting Lara fresh on the pitch, they can make some inroads as WI are not that good in chasing. But it all depends on the Pak bowlers and I think they may do a good job as they have nothing to lose and especially they don't have Akhthar ;).

  • I think Pakistan have enough for Kaneria/Afridi to like their chances bowling last. Lara and Gayle are the two big ones to get, sort of like Tendulkar and Sehwag:)
