Twenty20: Tale of the tape

BBC Sport does a nifty little number on the upcoming Twenty20 match-up between Australia and England, doing a mano a mano comparison -- and concluding, surprise, surprise, that Australia comes out way ahead.
Love the bit about Geraint Jones vis a vis Adam Gilchrist. 'Both men have much to prove'. Indeed?!

  • Geriant Jones Vs Gilly is a no match. What can we say ?!!

  • I think BCC are way off (understatement) with their comment "Both have lot to prove" though I think they meant 'in Twenty20 cricket'.

I am not a big fan of Twenty20, but am looking forward to the game as it will set the tone for the rest of the summer.

Unfortunately, tickets for this (and all other International games this summer) are sold out so will have to watch most games on Sky.

  • BBC and English are as stupid as one can get!! I read their columns for amusement purpose...

  • The bias towards england was exactly the reason why i stopped reading BBC. For regular news, news.google.com and for cricket, rediff, rsc and pp's blog.

  • Well the BBC is entirely right.
Geraint Jones has much to prove, such as showing everyone he can bat and keep equally well.
Gilchrist still hasn't proved to anyone that he can fail consistently with either bat or glove.
