White noise

Javed Miandad is the latest to join the ban-Bangla; bring in a tiered Test system bandwagon.
"I am not against weaker cricket nations like Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. But when the ICC could suspend the Test playing rights of Zimbabwe last year because they were weakened by the players' boycott why can't they do the same for Bangladesh because of its poor performances," Miandad said
.
Lots of sound and fury from expected -- and some unexpected (I mean, did you think Richie Benaud would weigh in on this?) quarters, signifying precious little. For why? Because, unless I missed something, neither the question of Bangladesh's Test status, nor the consideration of a tiered Test system, figures in ICC's agenda for its upcoming annual meet.
