Neither here nor there?

Saurav and Rahul have made up their minds, obviously, to play the waiting game. And that can work, too... the catch though is, if they decide on this approach, the onus then is on them to pick the right moment and go up the gears again... use up overs consolidating and *then* get out, and it hurts the chase.
Nice test, really, of the 5 batsmen theory, this chase.

  • yes ofcourse...and it applies more so on ganguly...dravid is anyway supposed to play through the innings...its always this way when a guy is playing cautious..if he gets out at wrong time people dont see the strategy was good...execution not always 100%...

But anyway ganguly not as bogged down here.

  • SG batting quite sensibly .. i think best in ages. No crazy flashing and playing his fav hoick over cover .. lets hope it lasts

  • Prem, whats up? I don't understand, is someone blocking you?
As for SG playing the waiting game, I am not so sure. Looking at his strike rate, it doesnt seem he is in great form.
I just got to work, have a meeting, so hopefully things go to plan and I see a good score when I return :-).
Good luck with your special hacker-friend.
