Delayed reaction

Hoo boy... the battle is over, the war is won and lost, and *now* Sharad Pawar fires his salvo?
Aren't you damned glad this guy is not our defense minister any more?

  • Hey PP, I thought I read this earlier before the boardroom verdict came out. Anyway who cares what Pawar says.

  • gopi, inapt comment, SP is most probably going to be the next bcci bigwig. And who knows like all bjp governors were shown the door after the last loksabha elections, all jd's men will also get the shove. That includes our excuse of a captain as well.

  • goes back to the comment that bcci shud be a professional org managed by fulltime professionals, instead of a Union minister who shud have better things to do than run cricket.

  • Prem:

The conclusion was predicted by many and you, of all people, should not be surprised by it. The media will report on it for a couple of weeks and then it will die down. This is precisely what the BCCI wants.
I would urge the media not to forget the issue at all and keep on hammering away until the powers that be face the fact that something is wrong and address it.
    A couple of questions:

    1. How long is the gag order valid?
    2. Was the performance of the team (the reason the committee was selected originally) reviewed at all?

Let us not forget that a very serious issue has been summarily swept under the carpet. Let us keep bugging the BCCI at every step until it finally throws in the towel and shows SG the door.

  • ... like many have written about accountability of the office bearers and publishing financial report annualy. Since this is not there, politicians like SP are licking their toungue to get a handle on BCCI.

  • The solutions to the BCCI mess - fill it with politicians :)). I am pretty sure it will sun as smoothly as football and IOC.

  • Hey guys what was Ashish Nehra doing at the Meeting venue. He had come to give his boss some moral support ? or was he a back up from Ganguly's side prepared to depose against Chappel ? I have a feeling its the Latter .
For the sake of a better future of Indian cricket I hope that we lose against Sri Lanka and South Africa.
Although that will hurt me personally but it might ( remotely) prompt BCCI to take some sort of action against coach and captain and a few of the players. Right now there is a definite scenario that some of the players might underperform ( or not give their 110 % as most coaches like to call it) depending upon who is the captain . We dont want to be going back to the Azhar-Sachin days but thats what we are going to have to re-visit.

  • Hey , I just figured out that BCCI stands for "Bunch of Chindi Chor Idiots" . Chindi in mumbaiyya means rags or garbage . Chindi Chor means people who will even rob garbage from ur house .
And here we thought it was about cricket all along !
