howzzatt said... Kaif/Azhar/Yuvi, who isa better fielder ?
Any names of best fielders from India's past cricketing era.

I'd nominate Ekky Solkar as India's all time greatest. A few others: Wadeker, Abid Ali, Sunny Gavaskar in the slips; lovely soft hands all of them. Venkat at gully. Pataudi in the covers, also Brijesh Patel. Kapil in the outfield.

  • I think both Sachin and Agarkar are good in the outfield. Robin Singh and Jadeja were good too.

  • Thaks Prem for all the good fielder list.

  • Sachin Tendulkar in the outfield - remember his catch to dismiss Robin Smith in his first series in England (or was it Allan Lamb?).

  • yeah I remember that one...he sprinted from a long and caught it inches off the grounds and made sure he did not lose his balance as he kept running.

  • I think it was azharudding who really made fielding an art. He made fielding look stylish and got India diving finally.
