I know the media is at the heart of all evil -- the BCCI, and even some cricket fans, have said it often enough. I didn't, though, realize matters were so serious the BCCI has actually felt the need to hire a serving armyman to manage the media.
Um, just wondering, this would be the same gent who was manager of the team during the home series against Pakistan -- which was when matters within the dressing room reached such a head, John Wright gave up and played passive spectator rather than active coach, and counted down the days to the end of his contract?

  • Hi Prem

Could you give me your email address where I can mail you? I tried prem@us.rediff.com and looks like that was not the correct address.

  • Off the topic :-

I was browsing the spy archives of KGB, and remembered Prem's joke on media in this thread! While I enjoyed the funny expression of Armyman to manage the evil :), appreciated the authors ability to make fun, the issue is quite unpleasant at a personal level. One million was paid to a news paper who supported Gandhi ! And this newspaper must be worth paying this much. That means, Morarjee desai would have needed to loot as much extra money so as to create an institution to bribe these b****** and supporting that shadowy instistitution, for him to continue the as the PM - Thus a shadowy PM. The story is not much different today.
