Well settled

Is Prem around to settle this?

*LOL* Which, that SRT is never around "when we need him"? I wish there was some way of letting him now when. For instance, could have told him he could afford to get out 0 in the first game of this series; why bother scoring runs in a game where we obviously didn't need him to? In other words, mate, I'll pass... the game is fun to watch; this other stuff, well, you just need to go to the threads of games one and two to see what was said then.

  • Can u start another thread for the JUNTA please?

  • AND keep it at the TOP --- the old one is lost due to change of DAy and one has to hunt it down

  • Dhoni on fire

  • Uhh..where's that discussion taking place, Prem? Incidentally, has Fernando modified his action? From what I rememember, his action was modelled on Waqar's

  • Hi Prem,

This Dhoni guy is really something. I have read that GC thought he was special but kind of discounted it. I thought that Dhoni is basically someone who could bludgeon a few if he is lucky. I am changing my views on him with the current show.

If he lasts 20 overs in the current scenario, he will change the equation totally

  • Sehwag looks quiter in comparision --- and that is new to me

  • on VS..its actually good to have him in the backgorund for a while, might help him cross the milestone @ 30. One never knows where he might endup after that!

  • sehwag is doing well. he needs to regain his ODI touch. If Dhoni continues the way he is playing now there will be less pressure on Sehwag. Wow - we have a fantastic line up, batsmen with different styles, approaches and mentality plus great bech strength. This team is looking good.

  • I left a similar comment on another posting.... will reproduce here.

Two matches, the god scores couple of gem knocks and predictably the god was restored the status that befits him. One failure. bah! that's an aberration.

But the devil's advocate in me sows the seed of suspicion.....
When chasing paltry target of less than 200 Sachin's in blazing glory and scores 4's and 6's.
When chasing 300 runs, Sachin vanishes.

disclaimer: If 2 matches is enough to sing peans then 1 match is enough to rubbish all claims
Alternatively, if crazy indian cricket fans realize that one's greatness is measured over time - and not over 2 matches - then they would stop deifying or dessicating someone over 1 or 2 games.

Oh well, life will go on. We will either garland our cricketers or burn their effigy. In the mean time, worldcups will come and go.
