Who will bowl?

That's going to be the question for Atapattu to crack. With Murali going at 4.86 -- and with just three overs to go; and Vaas only having 4 (Jaya has a shoulder problem, which probably explains why his experience in spearing the ball full and at an angle into off is not being used), the Lankans have a huge problem on their hands. And that problem becomes greater as the overs tick by and India has wickets in hand, providing the sort of platform from which they can launch at any bowler.

  • looks like these 2 will go for 100s, though IP would be taking few risks.

  • I think to take a bigger perspective, its onle one match. India has to play consistently over a period of time. Also I wonder the impact once saurav is back. I am interested in prem's comment on that.

Bottom line is Sachin's presence, Chappell's stratergies and young team would be a refreshing change.

  • Prem,
For us poor b*ds monitoring the match only via Cricinfo scores and your updates; can you please how much in form or how confident Tendulkar appears to be? Is he his old imperial self or he is the cautious player that he was in the last couple of years?

  • Pathan playing this way makes the rest of the batting line-up confident.
