Do you like your cricketers spicy?

From Shyam Shankar, this item: In her tour diary, Charlotte Edwards has this to say about the ceremonial welcome (emphasis, where needed, mine):
We were met at Delhi airport by girls with flower garlands which they put round our necks, and put dots made of chicken tikka paste on our foreheads.

As Shyam points out, someone prolly told the lady the 'dot' was a 'tikka'.

  • it seems they tasted the chicken tikka applied on their forehead... oh gosh, they must be hating the indian version of chicken tikka by now...

  • wonder how her accomdation is
am waiting with bated breath for her tour diary

  • mayur: lol.

Apart from the chicken tikka masala faux pas, I thought that the tour diary was well written. The men's team can learn a thing or two about being gracious visitors from their women's team.

  • ranjit,
Not really. I read one of the diaries (not sure if it was her but how many write in the same space) where they were complaining about the SLan hotels and remarked how much worse it would be in India

Toney, it is safe to play in your office. Just don't have the volume on too loud.
