Arun Lal's view

The Telegraph has compiled reactions from various quarters (several of them referenced in earlier posts) to Sourav's omission from the Test squad. One comment that stands apart from the rest is that of former Test cricketer and presently commentator Arun Lal -- who was one of the key people responsible for Sourav's return to the national side in 1996, and has long been one of the former captain's staunchest supporters:
I am very disappointed but not very surprised. The team management has been looking for young blood. They had to make this harsh decision. This has nothing to do with board politics. Sourav came into the side on his own merit. But I still believe this issue could have been handled much better and they could have waited till the end of the series.

Also from the Telegraph, quick q&as with captain Rahul Dravid and chief selector Kiran More on the Ganguly exit. And an unsigned, bold-face opinion piece, which from the page slug I presume is carried on the front page of the paper.
Elsewhere, the Bengali community in Jharkand is apparently up in arms over the issue.
