Subcontinent blues

Marcus Trescothick in his column reviews the 2-0 defeat at the hands of Pakistan.
Once you are chasing the game in this part of the world, everything becomes so much harder. It is just so difficult to play attacking cricket. The pitches are so slow that you can't get a quick score on the board. Neither can you run through the opposition. You just have to stay patient and hope they get themselves in a hole. Which they never did.

Leading from which,
As far as Test cricket goes, we now have to refocus our sights on India, and losing this series might not be the worst thing for us. We have found out the hard way just how tough it is out here, and we have to improve in certain areas if we want to win on the subcontinent.
