Domestic round up

Interesting first day's play in Ranji games across the country; increasingly, the trend of day one ending with a team scoring 300 for one seem to be history, with games getting increasingly competitive and bowlers having more of a say.
The two national players seen on domestic duty this far (the third, Anil Kumble, is yet to get his feet wet) have done well, with Sehwag leading Delhi to a good position versus Karnataka and chipping in with two important middle order wickets; and Sourav Ganguly, on an Eden Gardens greentop (now that would, not so long ago, have been unthinkable), triggering a Tamil Nadu top order collapse that saw the visitors 40/3 at one point. Ganguly's day out appears to have been interesting for more reasons than one, per this story.
