Ganguly makes 88

It's a losing cause, but Sourav Ganguly weighed in with 88 (129 balls, 13 fours, one six) for Bengal against Tamil Nadu, on the well grassed Eden Gardens track on the eve of his departure for Pakistan -- runs that should have him boarding his flight in a nicely positive frame of mind.
Elsewhere, Australia about to complete an astonishing win, with Ricky Ponting leading from the front, unbeaten on his second century of the match.
For all the ill will generated by excessive appealing and other theatrics, you've got to hand it to the Aussies -- faced with the sort of ask that would have sent every other team now playing international cricket into its shell, Aus treated the chase like a standard ODI, and is about to win with overs, and wickets, to spare. Stunning.
