No DD telecast

The Supreme Court okays a deal between Ten Sports and Prasar Bharti, whereby the national channel will not telecast the Indo-Pak series live. Good -- daylight robbery, as characterized by that GoI ukase mandating that all broadcasters share their feeds with DD, needed to be stopped in its tracks.
Rahul Bhatia got it right when, writing on Cricinfo, he made this point:
There are those, including the government, who argue that putting free cricket on every television in India is not only good, but also national duty. They're missing the point: seizing legally acquired private property for public consumption is illegal.
