Ind-SA 4th Match thread

Here's the open thread for the match...I won't be around for a while atleast, though.

172 Comments:

  • Which website are people using to watch the match in the US? I have found willow.tv and cricketon.tv. Are there others that people have found that are good and inexpensive?

    By Blogger Sridhar, at 02:26

  • Here in order of batting....
    SRT
    VS
    MK
    RD
    YS
    GG(Super Sub)
    MSD
    IP
    AA
    HS
    RP Singh
    Murali

Mohd Kaif pushed up to get batting practice...

    By Blogger RR, at 02:36

  • hey k-slice, dija see SG bat today?

    By Blogger i, at 02:38

  • it seems SG got big one, but then RGavaskar too got a 50, so I don't know the worth of the bowling.

    By Blogger i, at 02:42

  • Lara is violating Lee at Adelaide.

    By Blogger i, at 02:43

  • love how Lara is so positive on every ball once he's set. been waiting for this since the superseries.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 02:44

  • You mean Audrey Hepburn's chest don't you? Kat Hepburn had a nice ass.

    By Blogger i, at 02:46

  • munaf patel is supposed to be good. Got VVS out twice in the Duleep Trophy. Don't know about the pitch, or the other bowlers. But Ganguly got 5 wickets, so the pitch can't be that flat.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 02:46

  • maitch kab shuru hoga?

    By Blogger i, at 02:48

  • seewag, everything including marriages can be fixed.

    By Blogger i, at 02:52

  • munaf patel & bahatule have no reason to lay down for Ganguly, and are raring to go in Ranji trophy.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 02:52

  • what a pull shot!

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 02:53

  • Also K-Slice, Audrey H. and Kat H. were different people. Kat H., had a lovely chest, with wonderful appendages.

    By Blogger i, at 02:53

  • k-slice, I too am a huge movie buff. Something to keep me occupied with on Sat. nights. Everyone else is screwing around. Shit, I hate the west :-)

    By Blogger i, at 03:01

  • yeah k-slice, all the Maharashtra tail-enders scored runs, so it must be a good pitch. The Maharashtra top order collapsed for some reason. Good for Ganguly.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 03:01

  • Dileep Premachandran is an ass.

    By Blogger i, at 03:06

  • Lara scores a double !! Cool!! This guy is mazing!!

    By Blogger RR, at 03:07

  • G2R, DP is an ass because he tries to hide his biases behind language, and he is not even that good a writer.

Biases are fine, heck everyone has them, but it is nice to be upfront about them rather than make subtle suggestion relying on one's slightly better grasp of a foreing tongue than one's readers.

On the other hand I must say the other extreme of being upfront about one's biases while murdering a perfectly good language (like our friend TC) is not a very appetizing thought either.

What can I say, devil and the deep sea.

    Rahul Bhatta. is good.

    By Blogger i, at 03:11

  • i...yr profile does not show cricket as one of yr interests?? How come yr are here??Anyways...nice to have u back...U seem to have sobered down from the days of ours discussions on BOOST :D

    By Blogger RR, at 03:17

  • G2R the problem with DP's sarcasm is that it is forced. I always get the feeling of a man who is trying much too hard to write. Anyway, sarcasm is much to juvenile a medium of communication for me now - age is passing me by.

    By Blogger i, at 03:18

  • Inside sources say that RD was upset because, GC was doing all the talking and mentioning regularly that he had RD clued into his thoughts...and RD's expressions were like Oh! Is that so? :D

    By Blogger RR, at 03:20

  • lara on song is the best sight in world cricket. His one handedsweep of Warne was a treat. Hope he gets the 13 runs tomorrow and becomes the highest run scorer in Test Cricket...

By Blogger Saurabh Wahi, at 03:20

  • wow. 91 comments already and the match is more than half an hour away

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:20

  • Ravi, I am not interested in cricket per se. People "interested" in cricket and "knowledgeable" about matters cricket are much more interesting. Also I have not particularly sobered down, not that I was ever inebriated. We can always discuss Boost.

    By Blogger i, at 03:20

  • saurabh
absolutely. probably the second legend in the game after the don ?? or is that gilchrist now ?

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:21

  • Ravi - and because behind every successful man there is a woman, guess RD's wife better watch out in case GC wants to clue her in too.

    By Blogger i, at 03:22

  • i....like that...Good attitude...no noticeable bias...no foul language....subtle humor...things that make a good blogger,i presume

    By Blogger RR, at 03:23

  • tc,
toss will be really interetsting. probably best to lose it

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:23

  • i....no personal stuff...wives,girl friends,paramours...not acceptable,pls

    By Blogger RR, at 03:24

  • jobless
also at his best is lara is a sight to behold much more than sachin. his batting is like a wildly flowing river, sachin even at his best seems a little constrained

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:25

  • K-Slice, Sure but to me LPSahi and DP are about on the same level. The difference being one wields a subtler pen, and hence gets a wider following. Like commies vs righteous bigots - both are idiots, but commies get much more newsprint because they can twist the language to appear balanced, nuanced, intelligent and knowledgeable. The frauds.

    By Blogger i, at 03:25

  • k-slice...U missed it....It is my personal take..Just a spin to the story....having fun while it lasts...so long it does not hurt anyone personally

    By Blogger RR, at 03:25

  • k...thanks for yr Ranji update on SG...U fit in well..in the absence of any worthwhile writeup in Cricinfo.Any chances of u hopping into the stadium again ? :)

    By Blogger RR, at 03:27

  • ravi - learn to live with a semi-dirty innuendo. You are all grown up now.

I can clearly imagine GC making that "team is clued in with ME" statement.

    By Blogger i, at 03:28

  • yacrik if we r gonna play only 4 bowlers it comes down to a choice betn SG, yuvi and kaif and id pick SG on current form. if we play 5 bowlers SG does not fit in

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:28

  • k
whats the latest on the game man ? any chance maharashtra can still come out on top ?

    krish
who cares abt what happens to west indies ? all i want is to see lara in full flow

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:29

  • Fake pp...habit has only on p..Prem Panicker has two

    By Blogger RR, at 03:30

  • Oops...One b :(

    By Blogger RR, at 03:30

  • smith won the toss and will field. not such a bad thing i guess

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:32

  • Prem,

Lara's double already has some of my colleagues great things abt him etc...(I think we all know that !!)

Your point abt him scoring in dead rubbers is quite interesting..

In anycase, his swansong in Australia will be remembered well !!

    By Blogger Girish, at 03:32

  • South Africa has won the toss and decided to bowl first
Smith wins the toss and decides to bowl first

    By Blogger ரிஷி, at 03:32

  • well
    lara scores 200
    inzy scores 2 100s
    gangu scores 150
it is abt time sachin also scored i think

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:33

  • K...SG gone for 159 ...and Bengal down to 375 /9...Munaf gets 3 wkts

    By Blogger RR, at 03:34

  • Who's opening the india batting - SRT and Veeru or is it Gambhir ??

    Who's the super sub ?

    By Blogger Girish, at 03:34

  • K-Slice, You have hit the nail on its head. That is exactly what DP is, and hence, an ass in my book.

    By Blogger i, at 03:35

  • wow
did we keep the supersub again for losing the toss ? becoz karthik is the ss today and gg is playing. this idea o RD-GC seems really good !!

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:35

  • tc
same team except gambhir plays karthik is supersub

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:36

  • hemal
maybe lets see how it goes

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:36

  • Prem,

I won't say 4th Umpire is a high standard program. It's pretty ok with Charu hosting it along with Anjum Chopra (From the women's team) along with Srikanth and Jimmry/Atul Wassan !!

Sometimes, Srikanth does a Sidhu by not letting others talk and forcing others to agree his views...

But yes, in the absence of any other coverage, it's ok..Even better if you can watch it in mute ;)

    By Blogger Girish, at 03:37

  • lets hope we do not try for something too high. we shud aim for 280 say

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:38

  • Murali Kartik is the supersub for India, Gambhir is in the playing eleven, Robin Peterson is the supersub for South Africa.

    By Blogger ரிஷி, at 03:38

  • BTW K-Slice LPSahi is hardly subtle enough to be called a commie. I would put him down as a righteous bigot.

    By Blogger i, at 03:38

  • Prem panicker, don't bother wasting your time here dude !!

    By Blogger Girish, at 03:39

  • Or is it the real prem ??

    By Blogger Girish, at 03:40

  • That chap doing the commentary on cricinfo is always "big-helloing". Why this discrimination against smaller, lesser hellos. Are they not hellos? If you don't acknowledge them, do they not bleed?

    By Blogger i, at 03:40

  • k
is it really a greentop ? if so probably it is made by the CAB in retaliation for nagpur and the dropping of sourav ? anyway lets hope our players show the skill to negotiate it. i know they can

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:42

  • Real Prem,

Your double threw me off guard and hence my post abt "wasting time" !!.. Wasn't intended...

Fake Prem, pls get off the blog !!

    By Blogger Girish, at 03:42

  • Squarecut, I agree on the class of people who come to this blog. Just look at you. Or me.

    By Blogger i, at 03:42

  • strange munaf patel, after bowling 25 overs without a wicket, bowled Ganguly and cleaned up the tail in a matter of minutes. Bengal got the first-innings lead, but.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 03:43

  • K-Slice, if that is why the lesser hellos are discounted, most of India would.

Wait, most of India is discounted, and it doesn't even care. It is too busy fighting against/for SG.

    By Blogger i, at 03:44

  • did u guys read in the morning papers that smith says it will be like playing at home becoz he thinks the crowd will support SA as SG is not there ? what a pathetic statement and what a crying shame if it is true

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:45

  • GK, if you think that is true, I cry for you. Or, rather, I cries for you.

    By Blogger i, at 03:46

  • We should take a poll right here and now. All who think that was the real Prem, please fart.

    By Blogger i, at 03:48

  • interesting contest between railways and karnataka as well.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 03:49

  • goddamn. mumbai bowler Powar has so far taken all 4 Delhi wickets. In the Challengers I don't think he looked anything special, but match after match he's just a wicket taking machine.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 03:52

  • grassy pitch eh? cool smith won't be able to blame this loss on the pitch!

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 03:55

  • or the toss

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 03:55

  • why is the match not starting ?

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:56

  • sgstreams started for me

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 03:58

  • can someone plz post the scores after say every over ?

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 03:59

  • ntini injured. not playing.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 03:59

  • omg where the hell is srt...why is pathan opening???????????

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:00

  • ravi k pathan opening with ?

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:00

  • on a grassy pitch???????

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:00

  • Rahul_fan, you are a complete ass.

    By Blogger i, at 04:01

  • AH : http://home.uchicago.edu/~shelata/audrey_hepburn33.jpg

    KH: http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/5452/748/1600/katherine%20hepburn.jpg

Both are beauties in their own right!

By Blogger Kall Ramanathan, at 04:03

  • pathan bowled as expected!!!!!

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:03

  • GC surprised me here.

By Blogger Pankaj Tripathi, at 04:03

  • srt in now

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:04

  • sheesh...what a waste...

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:04

  • maybe the Kolkatans put lead paint chips in Chappell's soy milk?

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04:04

  • move flops badly

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:05

  • beanbag click on events & enter "kolkata"

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04:06

  • I think IP as opener was a good move...he has the capability to play solid...and has played pace bowling pretty well..ofcourse with hindsight it looks stupid....but I can understand the thinking behind it, if the actual move was to have SRT and VS come when Pollack is finished his spell. Better than having Dhoni open (the only other option)

    By Blogger worma, at 04:06

  • who is in at 3 ?

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:07

  • Outrageous movement for NEL

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:08

  • tendulkar at 3 is a good move ? not so sure.

    devatha
i removed the photo. why ?

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:10

  • who thinks that the bongs prepared a green track...to make india look bad without gangs. :)

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:10

  • GC is senile....carrying his experimentations too far...and why is RD nodding his head for everything that GC suggests...needs to stand up and have his way...GC seems to have a fixation on bringing in as many Left handers as possible into the top 3 slots...Know why??

    By Blogger RR, at 04:11

  • gk: as I said...now that first wkt goes early...it seems SRT at 3 is bad..since he's anyway virtually opening...but the idea behind it was right.

    By Blogger worma, at 04:11

  • exactly.. if Pathan had stayed for 5 overs all these guys would have praised GC and RD like anything..

Not all moves will succeed everyday.. please lets move ahead..

    By Blogger Sameer, at 04:11

  • Nel monitors his own heart rate while bowling to get the optimum rate going!

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:11

  • it is sgstream.com , not sgstreams.com

enter "kolkata" in this text box.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04:13

  • hell cricbuzz is not updating. someone plz post scores frequently

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:13

  • SRT standing a whole 18 cm out of the crease to negate the seam

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:14

  • ravi: as I said, IP looks to have the technique to play well on greentrack. NOt bad move....since it was actually the side-product of the actual move (to have SRT bat down)

    By Blogger worma, at 04:15

  • 3.1 overs 12 for 1

    By Blogger Sameer, at 04:16

  • devatha
dont bother. im not so important that ppl will start faking me

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:16

  • well, the idea was Pathan good at lofted shots, so put him in early. I don't agree with it, Pathan's batting seems more like a dance on a volcano to me, not particularly solid. Credit to him for pulling it off so far, but I consider him a useful lower-order bat or pinch-hitter, not an opener.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04:17

  • NEl being agrro with sachin

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:18

  • Yeda...the mind plays dirty games...Erase that thought and think that the ppl criticizing are looking at Indian cricket's betterment and u will feel better :D

    By Blogger RR, at 04:18

  • yes.. ppl sending IP cud have been an idea to disrput SAs plans by hitting a few over the top knowing that if he flopped there was plenty of backup and fallback plans available

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:19

  • raghu: IMO IP is never sent as a 'pinch-hitter' in any position...he's being rightly treated as a regular batsman. But you're right that he was to see off the opening spell

    By Blogger worma, at 04:19

  • ravi, i am not sure why you are so upset with the ip move. it was an experiment worth trying. he plays with a straight bat and well worth a try and i hope it is something they try again.

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:20

  • Is anyone listening to SIFY audio? I think they are swiched to the wrong channel?

    By Blogger Amit, at 04:20

  • SRT gone :(

    By Blogger Sameer, at 04:21

  • srt gone as well

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:21

  • sachin gone

    By Blogger sreeram, at 04:21

  • wow. that's disappointing.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04:21

  • devatha
    appreciate ur devotion and hero-worship

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:22

  • looks like we should have sent agarkar, bhajji, rp before sachin...everyone in our top order needs protection...

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:22

  • just an observation, SRT has been playing very cautiously lately in the opening, looking to get set. I think it might be a mistake, might be playing too timidly and psyching himself out.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04:23

  • Prem...if you're tuned in here....I ask the last match time question again....what do you think about SRT's approach? Was SL series opener just an aberration? Although today it was probably too short an innings to judge...but still??

    By Blogger worma, at 04:24

  • this is what the opening combo should be..sehwag and gg

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:24

  • 5.1 overs 20/2

    By Blogger Sameer, at 04:25

  • SRT gone for 2 again didnt he score 2 in hyd and bangalore as well ??

well i thot SRT at 3 wasnt quite right. anyway devatha u will have to wait for another day

    whos next ?

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:25

  • raghu, i agree with you about the pitch...i am sure that was in the mind of the pitch preparer...

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:25

  • SRT very tentative, the way he prodded at the ball. There was very little movement off the pitch, not like it was a great ball or anything.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04:27

  • how long before someone say...
time to drop sachin. there, i have said it.

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:27

  • sehwag trying to play forcing shots of every delivery..look out for the one that seams

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:29

  • agree, raghu

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04:29

  • there has now got to be some concern abt SRTs form !! otherwise im sorry we are pretty much having double standards !!

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:30

  • HYDERABAD all over again!!

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:31

  • GG gone too

    By Blogger Sameer, at 04:31

  • ravi, u still talking about ip... :) this is not the world cup final. what we need to be talking about is the what was behind the genius who picked a green top for a day night match in india.

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:32

  • good ball from Pollock, regulation edge, very low catch to 2nd slip, bye-bye Gambhir.

Have to say I love Gambhir's attitude. just a question if his technique and talent can match it.

And not to dump on Tendulkar, but his bowling has been subpar lately too.

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04:35

  • really is the pitch that bad ?

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:37

  • Lara double ton and Tendlya whoosh!

    By Blogger caconifox, at 04:37

  • Nel clapping like a monkey in sehwags face....

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:38

  • glorius, i finally agree with you...time to give tendu a break.

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:38

  • toss, green top.. whatever. No excuses for India. We have to win in all conditions, against any opposition. This is yet another true test today

    By Blogger RandomThoughts, at 04:38

  • neel, nel's pretty entertaining...and just the tonic our batsmen need to get them determined.

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:39

  • rahul_fan
regardless, we shud be able to adjust our game to suit the wicket. it wasnt an excuse in nagpur and cant be one here

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:40

  • Shastri prasing the groundsmen calling him 'talented' for preparing this pitch (no sarcasm)

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:41

  • Sahir, I still believe this is good for the team in preparing for WC 2007. They have endless amounts of practice playing on traditional Indian wickets. What they *need* is more experience playing & competing in conditions like these, against good 140 km bowlers. Teaches them that life is stern and earnest, what? ;)

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04:42

  • Ravi Shastri: "Ganguly is not playing and we have a green-top. If they do it for the Bengal team then they will produce good cricketers"

He seemed very upset that his boy Sachin got out cheaply :-)

    By Blogger caconifox, at 04:42

  • in shastri's defence, he also pointed out ganguly isn't playing today...implying that there is a connection between the green top and the gang's absence.

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:43

  • seems like sehwag wants his opening spot back

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:43

  • idli vade
maybe u r rite but he does not have a better defense than rahul or sachin. btw veeru on fire !!

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:45

  • its hall bowling guys

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:45

  • Smith has not taken the PP

    By Blogger caconifox, at 04:46

  • now powerplay taken...interesting

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:47

  • waiting for sehwag to get out he is

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:47

  • sahir
i wudnt mind seeing a green track now and then provided it does not reduce winning the toss to winning the match. whats wrong with a closely fought 220 game ???

    By Blogger Gaurav, at 04:48

  • greentops mean different things in New Zealand. You can hardly see the grass, Sahir. It's just got a light coating, the pitch is not that bad.

It's like what Prem said. If you do the traditional Indian thing and try to shave off all the grass, the ball moves like hell for the first 10 overs and then the pitch becomes completely placid. This should be a bit more conistent

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04:49

  • idli, hmmm. i guess by that logic most of us should keep quiet about bunnies against pace.

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:50

  • pp taken smith just forgot to take it earlier

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:51

  • 49-3 after 11.1

    By Anonymous Anonymous, at 04:52

  • PP taken and sehwag has gone

    By Blogger caconifox, at 04:52

  • gone...

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:52

  • shewag chases an extremely wide delivery...gets a nick...dravid and the croud stunned

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:53

  • w

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:53

  • that was a completely bullshit shot from sehwag

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:53

  • yuvi time

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 04:54

  • idli, do u secretly nurture a crush on shastri. u seem obsessed. :)

By Blogger Jerry Kalarickal, at 04:54

  • So many warped minds...Green top and so India is not performing...Bullshit...It is not a greentop by any standards. It is not like the ball is whizzing past one's nose or ears. Accept that it is one of those days when the initial few overs ahve not been good. Was the Blore pitch of international standard...If that was acceptable, let's accept this too..and bringing in SG for every blip in performance is a bit too much.If he is around, there is a proble...if he is not there is a problem...Why don 't u guys petition the Govt of India and have him deported...if that is a satisfactory solution...Grow up and accept that SA are a different class altogether

  • idli, may i point out that shastri is the commentator and you don't even have to be a cricket player to be a commentator. next you will blame bhogle for not having faced alan donald.

  • 49-4 after 11.2. Sehwag gone. Ball starts wide of off, swings further away, fullish. Sehwag drives, edges to slip.

Look, it's not like our batters are losing their wickets for no reason. They're not trying to get beind the line of the ball. "Stand and deliver" sounds good when it goes for 4, not so good when it edges to slips.

And it's important that our batsmen learn about their weaknesses now, when they can still do something about them. If not Pollock, Ntini, Nel Who's going to teach them, Ranadeb Bose?

  • flute, all in good spirit.
but i suspect we won't see a bangalore pitch in south africa or in australia. i don't see why we need to see a wanderers pitch in calcutta.

  • Disgusting Parochialism
Some excerpts on the odi today:

Makes me disgusted at the parochialism prevalent in India. The Calcutta board/curator want India to lose because the non performing asset of the Indian team for last few years (ganguly) has not been picked.
These people are traitors who put the interests of nation below petty political interests.

This can happen only in INdia. Proves that even today we have several 'Mir Jafar's and 'Jaichand's (who betrayed Prithviraj by supporting the enemy Ghor).

No wonder Indians were ruled by foreigners for almost 1000 years. With petty politicking and parochial interests, internal bickering will ensure the foreigners win.

    Calcutta odi:
There is a lot more grass on the wicket than we expected. It looks like a home match for us," South African skipper Graeme Smith said.

Rahul Dravid sounded sarcastic when he said: "I told the groundsman whatever wicket he gives us, we will play on it."

"All wickets are different and this one’s even different from the ones I’ve played on in Kolkata," the Indian captain said

Some Indian players were spotted chatting with Mr Mukherjee, who made gestures to indicate that he had not much of a role in the preparation of the pitch. Dravid too made his displeasure known to Mr Mukherjee going by his actions. East Zone selector Pranab Roy, who pitched in for Ganguly at the selection committee meeting on Wednesday, was also seen speaking to Mr Mukherjee at the strip

  • if greentop is the problem...this was bound to happen once the overseas started..better a wake up call now

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 05:07

  • ok fine. looks like deporting all of bengal is a controversial idea...i will table that for the next few years. how about banning nasal toned commentators from cricket (shastri and sivaramakrishnan)...it is almost like hearing chalk screeches on blackboards.

  • what i am troubled by is not that people get personal or people get divisive but that we indians are so touchy about it. we should have a sense of humor about it all...after all, everyone know no one is going to deport bengal or kerala or any other country. we don't even give kashmiris a choice in the matter...so we might as well joke about it all. we don't have to get teary eyed about it.

  • getting boring...better get out and start black friday shopping..the local best buy already garnering about forty people in line..

    By Blogger Neelesh, at 05:12

  • dravid 4 off 23 balls.. 1 scoring shot.

If dravid and kaif hit half centuries in a match.. We r bound to loose

  • sahir, IIRC, Arun Lal said he had never seen Eden Gardens with grass, not *more* grass. I'm looking at the pitch, it just doesn't seem that bad. Some lateral movement, & more importantly bounce and carry, but not freakish or anything.
